Not debated, not discussed... but implemented as soon as whatever it takes to get it passed. The laws would be simple. 1.It is a criminal offence not to obey the bush fire legislation. 2.The bush fire safety rules apply during the season of bush fires and when the temperature is forecast to be 38 degrees Celsius or higher. 3.During the alert period, only properly equipped and authorized personnel are allowed into the bush area. Properly equipped means having a GPS tracking system, communication equipment reporting to local police, and an escape plan from the bush area. Any other personnel venturing in the bush at this time not in compliance with this directive will be considered a criminal. They will be considered a threat, a terrorist, a subversive and a serious criminal. 4.A house on the path of a bush fire cannot be defended. Period. Full Stop. 5.All access roads to the bush are to be monitored by hidden Red Light cameras during the alert period. All vehicles snapped during a flare up are to be investigated. Firebugs dont escape on foot, because the bush fire will just overtake them. 6.The minimum evacuation distance for approaching bush fires would be 10 kilometres on the downwind side. 7.Arson on the bush leading to human fatalities ...
